Beaches & Hidden Bays close To Moraira
CUMBRE DEL SOL
This is a nice place for an afternoon out. It’s only 5 minutes out of Moraira on the Benitachell Rd, turning right at Rusty’s bar. There are several walking routes, all with viewpoints for some impressive views. There are beautiful hidden bays along the coastline, most of which you can walk down to.
PLAYA DEL PORTET
A beautiful secluded small cove with a sandy beach and crystal clear turquoise water with a few cafes. Only 5 minutes from Moraira town.
PLAYA DE L’AMPOLLA
Is situated by the castle (Moraira) with a gentle shelving sandy beach. Bars and cafes all close by.
PLATGETES
A small sandy beach with rocks, which made this ideal for snorkeling. There are many bars near by.
CALA PUNTA ESTRELLA
A very small rocky cove, reached by a very steep stairway cut into the cliffs. Rocky shelves everywhere making it ideal for snorkeling. Little steps drop down into the sea. No amenities.
HIDDEN COVES
These can be found along the coast road, heading towards Calpe, this makes for a lovely afternoon drive to find all the little hidden bays!
PLAYA L’ANDRAGO
This is a small pretty cove, with no sand, the Alga’s bar/restaurant is close by where you can get drinks and snacks
CALA BALADRAR
Beautiful little bay, no sand, rocky. Small bar offering snacks. BBQ’s in the evenings (summer months)
CALA ADVOCAT
A pretty cove with good parking. Small refreshment bar near a small sandy beach, rock cliffs and good views of the Calpe rock.
CALA PINETS
Beautiful small rocky cove. No amenities
CALA FUSTEA
Sandy bay, good for swimming, Bars and restaurants.
